Splice Marketing specialises in high quality web design and e-marketing services in Southampton, Portsmouth, New Forest, Fareham and surrounding Hampshire regions. We also have clients in London, Surrey, Berkshire, Dorset, & Wiltshire.

In January 2012, Splice won the EMEA award for the Fastest Growing Company (for 2011) under 10 employees.  We are growing because we are helping our customers to grow their business and they have become raving fans, recommending us to their clients. 5 Important Things to Consider.

There is no shortage of web design companies in Hampshire and surrounding areas, each with their own ideas regarding the way your website should look. We know it can be confusing for you to make the right choice when selecting a company with which to work.

For this reason we provide the following guidance:

  1. Choose a company that is interested in the long term success of your business and not just building you a website today and then gone tomorrow. It is very easy for someone who knows some HTML to set up as a web designer, but will they be there long term to help you grow your business?
  2. Look at their existing website designs and ask why they made certain choices, especially the navigation. For example: getting the navigation wrong on a business website is very costly because customers get frustrated quickly and that translates into lost revenue for you.   3. Ask to speak to some of their current customers. It is the best way to find out what is in store for you. We are happy to provide a list of customers who can tell you of their experience with us. If you prefer a letter of recommendation written by our clients, just ask.
  4. Ask about After Care service, what happens when you have paid the final invoice. As a policy at Splice we meet with our customers at least once per quarter, some customers once per month. It is an opportunity to review the website performance against expectations and discuss improvements.
  5. Project Management: do they have a process for handling your website project or is everything left to chance. At Splice we take your business seriously and when we start working with you an account is created on our project management system. This give you access to your account manager and acts as a central hub for the exchange of information so nothing gets lost or misunderstood, thereby holding up the process.
  6. Extra Charges is one issue we hear about quite a bit, web design companies that charge customers for every little thing. For example they charge to talk to you over the phone or for sending out a letter. So be careful, we love to talk to our customers and the only charges you'll get from us are exactly what was agreed in advance. No surprises.
